Harvest is winding down and fall field work has been going on for a while. Now is time to reflect on the last growing season, what worked, what didn’t, what we can do to have a better year in 2018.
Probably the biggest question that I have been getting this fall is about weed control in soybeans for next season, namely, what system should be used. That is going to have to be a personal decision for your farm, however, communication with your neighbors is going to be more important than ever!
Another question that has been thrown out there – where or how can I cut production costs in my operation? Good question with the way the commodity prices are looking right now. Weed control should be the last place to cut costs! Just one year of not controlling water hemp and that field (or fields) may take years to get it under control again.
